Kyuri received yet another grant! The 2025 KNAW Van der Gaag Grant aims to promote outstanding behavioural research and will support Kyuri’s work on the dynamics of climate-related attitudes, behaviours, and policy support.

The grant enables her research stay at Stanford University, where Kyuri will collaborate with Dr. Sara Constantino (Doerr School of Sustainability). She will work with a unique multi-wave U.S. longitudinal dataset on climate attitudes; applying advanced causal inference methods to better understand how beliefs, behaviours, and policy preferences evolve together over time.

Rather than focusing on static correlations, the project aims to uncover causal pathways and feedback processes that shape long-term attitudinal and behavioural change.

The analytical tools developed during the collaboration are designed to be transferable and will later be applied to Dutch and European datasets, contributing to evidence-based strategies for sustainable transitions that avoid social polarization.
