Problem-Solving Environments
Problem-Solving Environments
The design and development of systems and infrastructures that assist in finding solutions to computational science problems.
Problem-solving environments (PSE) are user-centered environments that assist the computational scientist in his research. In general these environments are targeted to a problem from a specific computational science domain. The challenge of this research is to combine theory, algorithms, simulations, high-performance computing infrastructures, visualization and user interaction into one system that enables exploratory science.
Visualization, virtual reality, human-computer interaction, collaborative systems, distributed systems, computational steering.
