UvA software helps prevent floods

The UvA participates in the European "Urbanflood" project, which will develop a system to monitor dikes, volcanoes and other sites where natural disasters such a flooding may occur.

In the European "Urbanflood" project, the UvA together with TNO ICT, Stichting Onderzoek Water, the English HR Wallingford, Cyfronet in Poland en Siemens Russia will develop a system to monitor dikes, volcanoes and other sites where natural disasters such a flooding may occur.
