Abstract:
Einstein's theory of General Relativity and the behaviour of the human body might seem very different areas of knowledge. And they are. But from the Computational Physics point of view, they happen to have much more in common. Hyperbolic partial differential equations and their numerical simulations will guide us in a journey departing from a PhD thesis with a long title like "Towards a gauge polyvalent numerical relativity code: numerical methods, boundary conditions and different formulations", doing a stop in the work done in the IAC3 institute (new member of the VPH-NoE) in Palma de Mallorca (Spain), and getting to a postdoc in "Large Scale Distributed Computing for Multiscale Biomedical Applications" in the context of MeDDiCA (Medical Devices Design in Cardiovascular Applications).
