Tissue modelling with the Cellular Potts Model

We aim to create cel-based models of vascular tissues and apply these as single-scale models in large multiscale models for pathologies in arteries (atheroslerosis, stenosis, aneurisms, etc.). The Cellular Potts Model is a promising candidate, and building on earlier work, you will develop a 3D CPM for a coronary artery and study the proliferation of cells under the influence of simuli such as vessel damage, hemodynamics, etc. The resulting model will then be plugged into an existing model for in-stent restenosis and applied to study in detail this pahtology.
